I think he was kind of making a statement with the clone like women in the video. More or less mocking the fashion world of the time. So the blan personality and identical qualities was very intentional.

Well Shania Twain made a parody of this video to one of her songs...... the zombie boys are cute but er.. they're boys (not men) and really creepy. Waaay too much guy-liner for one thing.
