We are all safe according to the ex President Bush USA and Prime Minister Steven Harper Canada there is no such thing as Global warming so all the proof of it is a lie and Leftest Liberal BS. Strawberry plants in bloom in January, so are Roses, What was I being sucked into. Even though It never happened before. I live in Canada. The land that used to be ice and snow in winter.
I AM a geophysicist and I can tell you the "theory" isn't a theory. There IS NO debate in the scientific community about whether or not it is caused by people. The FACT is that the Earth is getting warmer, and it anthropogenic. A single cool summer or cold winter doesn't disprove Global warming. Your opinion is only meaningful if it is informed--that is, if you are basing your attitude using data. You aren't. Do think for yourself, but recognize the limits on your own abilities.
"There IS NO debate in the scientific community about whether or not it is caused by people."
Well, some may consider the debate over, yet not all agree. In the 70's it was thought a mini Ice Age was in cards. But don't worry, the "anthropogenic" factor will be greatly reduced in the next few years as a result of a hyper inflationary depression and the civil unrest that will result. Suggest Peter Schiff as a good start. Peace.
To think that human activity is not having a negative impact on our planet is beyond absurd. Astounding even, that pathetic individuals still try to fight those who want to protect our only home.
I originally studied biology. Man is deviating the plant and like the o'l fruit flies in the jar experiment, mankind's population will peak and fall rapidly, and the earth will swallow up the temporary and feeble attempts of mankind to dominate and heal itself once again...
Just because I do not subscribe to the politically correct cause of the current warming trend, that I do not appreciate the harm we do and those who seek to change our ways and live with nature.
This hyper inflationary depression will cause the loss of life due to malnutrion, and civil unrest, and likely war. Our once powerful economy demanded a high percentage of the world's resources, particularly oil. As the Depression deepens, we will be forced to do without and consume far less. We will plant gardens and walk to work.
By man's own hand will he destroy himself. Hopefully we can avoid nuclear war.
We are both very concerned that man is doing great harm to the plant, yet man will perish long before he can destroy it. We should learn and do all we can to minimize our impact. I currently live in the woods off grid and my carbon footprint is far less than the average person. Yet my carbon footprint is not my primary concern, it is the consumption of any resource.
The economy is failing fast as we enter the next and greater depression. Consumption will as a result, fall dramatically.
