This is the most interesting bit in the WWDC 08 keynote. This was a big missing feature of non-Apple apps.

Imagine if you could not have multiple applications open on a Computer. It's true, if I close all applications and leave just one open it's faster because all resources go to that application. I would still like to be able to run multiple applications at once, perhaps downloading while playing a game. I think the iPhone should include this too. Perhaps have a little icons that indicate applications are still running. I disagree that blocking background applications is a good idea.
