I re-read Half-Blood Prince recently and felt bad for Lavender. Yeah, she's kind of annoying, but it still wasn't good for Ron to use her like that. Then I heard "Flavor of the Weak" by American Hi-Fi, and this video popped into my mind...
Ron and Lavender are dysfunctionally dating and Ron is still pining for Hermoine. Enter Neville, who kind soul that he is, likes Lavender just the way she is. But how to convince her that she should be with him instead? Through Harry of course! Neville tells Harry how much he likes Lavender, and as Harry watches Ron and Lavender struggle, he finally decides to tell Ron that he needs to break up with Lavender and let Neville, who actually cares for her, have a shot. But after the disaster with Ron, will Lavender be able to trust Neville? It doesn't look promising and Neville gives up, but Lavender is always unpredictable...
If there's anything in the vid that doens't make sense, just ask and I'll explain. Oh, and just so you know at the end, where you see Steve Howey's back, he's supposed to be Neville. (I used JoAnna Garcia from "Reba" to represent Lavender)
