This is one of the best Bond themes - shame they never used it.

blondies song needs to fit the edit for the visuals to line up with the chorus and drama that is blondies version . the easton song has no guts,no bond excitement,no bond sound, wimpy. blondies lyrics were too abstract for a major motion pic, possibly this is why this wasn t used,or a contractual thing between chrysalis and the movie company.?

@ottawamanz actually it wasn't used because blondie had written this, and the producers had already had a song (the theme that was used) and blondie didn't want to perform it, so they went with Sheena Easton.

Live and Let Die was also nominated for an Oscar and is widely seen as one of the best James Bond movie themes.

Heck, Paul McCartney of the Beatles wrote that one.

How could you have not known Live and let die was also nominated for an Oscar for best song?
