Liebgott was my favorite guy in the series. I wish he could have had more speaking parts, actually I wish the whole series would have been longer. Oh my he just drips sexy. The actor reminds me of me of a newer, straight , Montgomery Clift. I sure would like to see a picture of the real Joseph Liebgott.

@manicracoon I think a lot of people want to think of him as Jew because he fought the Germans, who were trying to wipe the Jewish population off of the planet. I have read that book, it was great, but maybe Liebgott did the opposite, told his friends in Easy Company that he was a Jew because they would be fighting the Nazis? Just a thought, I don't want to get in a fight with you (like some people do), I just wanted to say this thought

@BeezieMadden13 That is according to the family, plenty of family secrets out there. Maybe he thought he was protecting them? If you read Babe and Wild Bills book Wild Bill talks about calling him jewish and fighting over it.

did you know that he isn't actually Jewish, he's actually Catholic. If you want to argue, you can read Company of Heros by Marcus Brotherton. Liebgott's family confirmed he's Catholic and NOT jewish.

My grandpa reminds me soooo much of Joe Liebgott. He has been compared to him at his office too. He's Jewish, he's a veteran of Normandy, and he was half-German. My grandpa's name actually means "Mountain of Roses" and Liebgott's name means "Love God"
