A blast from my past:
I wrote and recorded this in 1987 with my good friend Mark Bilotta - a great musician in many of the bands I've been in, and a great brother in Christ. I've been writing songs since 1974, but this was one of my first "original" Christian songs.

It is a little spotty - being recorded to cassette tape (which hasn't fared too well over the years...) but it is still a good memory for me to rediscover this track and make a video out of it.

The band:
Mark Bilotta: Lead Vocals & Drums
Keith Schwartz: Guitar, Harmony Vocals, Taurus II (Pedal) Synth
Mark Frethem: Bass, Keys, Taurus I (Pedal) Synth
Music & Lyrics by Keith Schwartz & Mark Bilotta (c) 1987 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Please: Go on missions and/or support them immediately, the workers are few, time is short, and the fields are white and the harvest is coming: GIVE A WITNESS FOR THE FAITH YOU HAVE!

  • @justmyselfatalltimes I happy for you & your dad, Mother Theresa said something very important:

"People are often unreasonable & self-centered, forgive them anyway.

If you're kind, people may accuse you of alterior motives: be kind anyway.

If you're honest, people may cheat you: be honest anyway.

The good you do today may be forgotton tomorrow, do good anyway.

For in the end it is between you and God...

it never was between you and them anyway."

    BE THE BLESSING

  • @lastdaysguitar Sorry for slow reply i've been watching that video you sent me . Sorry for hear about your dads passing. I will contact my dad, unfortunetly today i cannot as i have a mobile phone which is out of credit but its something to look into doing this coming week! maybe a goal to look to. It will be difficult as hes a very hostile person at times and patronizing

  • @justmyselfatalltimes PS: I too had a time when my dad and I didn't speak for about a year or so because of a stupid arguement, I'm very glad I followed God's word to honor my father and broke that, taking his blame upon myself - because shortly afterwards he got sick with cancer and died, yet I was in good relationship with him at this time to be able to pray with him at the hospitol bedside as he passed. You don't want to miss this - by honoring your earthly father, you bring honor to God.

  • @justmyselfatalltimes I gaurantee you this: If you contact your dad in a gesture of love today - at the very least you will ABSOLUTELY be pleasing your heavenly Father, and will most likely be a major blessing your earthly one as well.

  • @justmyselfatalltimes Satan wants to keep you and your dad apart, as he knows that "a house divided will not stand". Break the curse - be the one to extend love to your dad, even if you don't think he deserves it, do it TODAY - because every breath we take is a gift, and you do not know how long either of you have.

  • @justmyselfatalltimes Break the curse: Call your dad TODAY, even if it's just to say "hi". No matter what's gone down, just DO IT!

As for fighting, you should only stand the ground that God has given you to stand. We are to endure persecution at times, at others (for example, when God was being mocked by Goliath) we are called to rise up as David did, killing Goliath with a stone.

We are NOT however, to murder - which is to take someones life of our OWN volition, which is sin.

    Call Dad.

  • @justmyselfatalltimes A majority of those who struggle with faith have in fact been dissappointed & hurt by their earthly fathers - again, this is Satan's divisive work against a powerful & pre-ordained relationship, so to honor God best, do not hold any blame against your father - but extend him grace & forgiveness from the loving Father of both of you - the ONE who has blessings and thoughts of you every second.

The role of fatherhood is critical - I am a dad and a grandpa.

  • @lastdaysguitar It is hard to do for sure. I still do wish him well and everything, but we have not spoke for years.

I have just noticed your martial arts videos, they are really good ! you are very skilled .

I did a martial art called taekwondo a few years back but it never seemed to instill much confidence in me for self defense, seemed more sport orientated, but was fun.

When you say to be bold as a Lion ? you mean to be as lethal as one ?

  • @justmyselfatalltimes Start by forgiving your dad, I KNOW that is hard to do, but it's more for your benefit than his. I was a famous martial artist in70's-90's, my videos are still worlds best selling on Judo, but I walked away from it when God claimed me for the real battle: I assure you there is no shame in being bullied, only in bullying. When you do stand up against another, do so ONLY by the leading of the Holy Spirit, at that point be bold as a lion, because He is with you. John 16:33
