I have the m14x and I did all the steps correctly but when I select the plugin in Winamp it says "NoAlienFX device found. Plugin will not work. " please help! I have it set to standard and 3rd party enabled in command center.

Why does my winamp look very different? I just downloaded it and mine is some old school looking small little thing lol

It says device not found! what do I do?

When I get to the part in Winamp, and I'm testing to make sure that my visualization is set to the Alienware FX it's saying device not found. And I checked and I have it set so the AlienFX accepts 3rd Party software. :/ I followed everythign to the letter but I'm ot sure what I did wrong, or what I may have to switch over.

mine says alienware device not found alienware device wont work??
@jemezecreze I do agree with you. Only advanced users should be trying this. If your keyboard fails to load, or the lights stop working. Shut down, pull out the battery, wait 1 minute, put the battery back in and boot up. This should reset everything.

1. Make sure your FX is set to standard not advanced.
2. Make sure that "3rd party software" is enabled
3. Make sure than visualizations in winamp is enabled
It took me almost 4 hours of messing with settings to get it to work, the video gives u an outline of my steps but you will need to mess with different settings. Also feel free to check out notebookreviews[DOT]com for more information on it

I found out! I needed to add zones, and adding speakers, keyboard and so on. Now it works, great tutorial!
