On Friday morning, June 12th, 2009, an ethanol tanker overturned near my house. My entire street was promptly evacuated, along with the following people in a half-mile radius. I decided to go back and show everyone the aftermath.
The tanker was carrying around 8,000 gallons of pure ethanol (which is basically grain alcohol with a tiny amount of gasoline added to stop people from drinking it) when it crash, and proceeded to leak around 1500 gallons out.
Everything and everyone is fine, and Hazmat ensured everything was cleaned properly.
