Our Adoption Story

I made this video to show people that foster care adoption is a wonderful option for people wishing to expand their family. International adoptions and domestic newborn adoptions are very popular and I believe EVERY child regardless of where they were born or how old they are...deserve a family. But with that said, so many people can't believe how many children are in their own neighborhoods that will never know what it's like to have a "Forever Family". Foster care adoption was the BEST option for out family...maybe it will be for yours too.

AND for the comments about having your "own" kids and stop stealing ours....Let me tell you something. I am not infertile. I have a STRONG desire take care of the children that are already created! I feel like that is my calling in life. So I don't know where you get all the info about how adoption is a money making scheme...I definitely didn't get into it for the money! I do believe there are bad foster homes out there JUST like there are bad birth homes.

And who exactly makes the paycheck? I got reimbursed 22/day per child and most get less than that-I did therapeutic care.. REIMBURSED. That means I spent money on those children. Do you think the state pays for food, clothes, toys, field trips? Do they pay for theme park passes and concert tickets? How about extra gas for soccer practice and little league games? Where do you think that money comes from? I guarantee I have spent WAY more than I ever "made".

My daughter went into care at age 4. She was bounced back and forth for years. Finally at age 13 on Christmas Eve she had her last visit w.her bmom...u know why? NOT bc the state "stole" her. They told her bmom that she had to stay away from the man (1 of many) who molested my daughter. So her bmom came for her last vist to say she was MARRYING the man! And GAVE UP her rights!!!

Social workers don't make commission! They get paid regardless of the caseloads!

Okay, this is MY video. I've removed several ignorant comments. If you want to go on a rampage about the government or anti-adoption talk then do it on someone else's video! Not to MY daughter's tribute! I was a foster parent for 5 years and EVERY single child I had was abused by one or both birthparents! That's 100 %. And why didn't they go to relatives? NO relative wanted them! Now, I know that's not always the case bc we had a referral on a lil girl in a hospital but her aunt took her home.

idk what to say I guess some people get lucky, my foster mom adopted me and when I turned 18 wanted nothing to do wiyh me, got kicked out at 17 bunch of debts not allowing me into school, wasn't able to get financial support because I couldn't get into school because her names on my birth certificate. now that I'm of age I can put myself in, but since I couldn't come in when I was a minor i lost income. I even got a job and asked if i could pay rent. answer was no. later I get laid off, homeless

i may only be a teen but if i was in that situation i would be blessed to have a family like you take me in, i may not have a perfect family but i am glad there are others who care just as much as mine, we are a family for foster kids and have gotten blessed with the gift of adding more, i may be a biological child to my mom but i love having siblings, whether they are legally ours or not!

It is to bad that a system that was ment to help familys in crises, has become a hot bed of complaints. I am a mother who lost her two very much loved children through mcfd. Now I will say not all workers are child robbing thiefs and even some who are truely believe they are helping children. So its not a ministry hell bent on destroying familys of the poor or uneducated people of today. I had a grat worker and was able to work together. sadly then a shuffle of offices and my babys r gone.

thank you for doing this, isn't it awesome!!! we are in the process of adopting our 7th foster child and if i was younger i would adopt 7 more. some of my bio parents are involved with their children but some aren't which is their choosing. i truly can't understand why everyone doesn't WANT to do foster care. to love these children benefits them as well as ourselves-it is a win win situation. Reports of bad parents are falsified ALL eh time Foster parents are LIED to about the real parents CAS STEAL children and gives them to Foster Parents $22 a day per child IS a lot of money - more than a LOT loving parents get and Foster Parents do NOT know what is really going on in eh Foster CARE INDUSTRY - Many kids who are farmed out were NEVER ABUSED! WAKE UP!

This is beautiful, I am a single mother by choice, I was blessed with the best of both worlds when god sent me to angels, my little girl, and four years later my son. I can't imagine my life without them. When the time is right, he will answer your prayers. God Bless all and thank you for sharing your dream.

is considering this with my foster son whom I adore. Catch is he comes with a brother I haven't been able to get the chance to know. Pray for God's guidance and the chance to spend more time with my child's brother if that's God's will. Hard to make a decision without knowing him much.
