  • dude your going to kill your self driving while trying to make a video lol. you should make up some mounts or some thing so you dont have to hold the camera all the time

  • @gollumandsmeagol : True . A smaller turbo will also be physically unable to flow alot of air through the exhaust housing .The faster you can move air through the engine, the more power.

  • Turn down the gain on the boost controller.

  • Time for a Wideband I think XD

  • chinese made is cheap... get a real gt35r and your gtg :)

  • you might want to consider using the haltec's built in boost controller...bit more elegant of a system than the profec b spec 2.

i've never had good luck with those things, they're terribly temperamental compared to the profec b.

  • I had the same boost controller (for like a week). No combination of settings worked properly for me; I had the same pulsating / fluttering problem.

  • Arnt you running a Garret GT30 Turbo?

From what I have read the "butter zone" turbo for the RB30 is the GT35. The GT30 is more suited for the RB25.

Also are you running a metal head gasket? On the RBs anything more than 15psi needs an aftermarket head gasket.

  • 18psi is 18psi if measured at the manifold, no matter WHAT turbo you're running. The power difference that's seen is from the vastly different AIR TEMPS due to where the turbo is in it's compressor map under boost for THAT setup. If you're keeping a turbo closer to it's peak efficiency the air temps will be VASTLY lower, and thus at a given PSI level you will have more air VOLUME from the denser air. Garrett explains all this themselves in their tech section on their website. Check it out.

  • I just saw a list for a P90 head on eBay and sure enough it was you selling! Needless to say I'm hooked on watching your Z videos. Keep up the good work Big Phil.
