This Turk guy fails to mention President Clinton first took military action against Iraq in 1998 and Bush escalated the war into what it became. Those strikes against Iraq Although Iraq was cooperating with UNCSCOM inspectors, Clinton lied & said they were not to justify confrontation. Hundreds of innocent villagers including women and children were murdered, but the media minimized those deaths. Clinton was just another Bush and Obama is just another Bush. Republicans & Democrats are the same!

The reason why I do not think that is fully possible, is because of individual freedom associated with parties. The party is more of a philosophical stance.

This has got to be the stupidest thing any party has done. The level of first, fiscal irresponsibility and second, sheer lack of intellect on the part of the Democrats and President Obama just blows my mind. Far from being the "smartest" people, this has got to be the Congress and Presidency with the lowest collective IQ in recent history.

The country is going broke, over three government entitlement programs, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and what do you do? Add another one?

In the UK rebel members of parliament can be deselected. That means they can still run as independents but no longer under the banner of the party they rebelled against. I just wish it was the same with the US congress. Any dems voting down universal healthcare would be forced to take their chances as an independent in the next election - and probably get about 2% of the vote!
