Another demo of the best Japanese vintage lawsuit guitars and a real Gibson USA Les Paul. This time the amp is modelling a Marshall JCM800 - so some classic rock tones for you.

  • great playing!! are all the guitars stock???

  • @mikerhd89

Yes - with the exception of the black orville custom - which has a bare knuckle pickup in the bridge.

  • Your gibson is AWESOME, doesnt Justin Hawkins from the Darkness have one very similar ?

  • @lvarndell

-good spot ! Its the Justin Hawkins custom model. I believe only a very small handful were of them were made as a special unofficial run. I actually met one of the other owners through youtube following a video I put on it. Its my pride and joy !

  • this proves that Gibson and other american made guitars sucks!

  • I own a 1980 rlg super grade Burny and it plays and sounds a lot better than my other LP gibsons that cost me a small fortune ! By the way I payed all up about $1000 for my Burny including a professional set up and I was offered that same day $5000 to sell it to him but no way this one is a keeper guys it's the best guitar all round that I've got LOL :)

  • Thanks for the fun video! I own a Burny Super Grade from the late 80s. It definitely holds up to Gibson-made guitars. Out of your selection I thought the black Orville custom sounded the best - could be the bare knuckles pickup or just that they really got it right on that one. Who knows?

    Thanks again!

  • Great job, man. It's not easy comparing so many guitars at once, but I think it worked here. Modeling amps aren't usually a good idea when doing these kinds of shootouts, but obviously there are enough tonal differences between these guitars that were able to blast their way through the digital circuitry.

  • All I ask is turn off the over drive so folks can really hear the guitar on its own with out effects I have listened to several of these guitars they are not even close to an american made guitar feel or sound, buy american so we can create more jobs the guitar sounds like shit on its own.

  • those orvilles kick ass!!!!! i have 2 gibson lps, a custom and a special dc. i have a post lawsuit ibanez pf200 and that thing can blow the special away! but damn you got me gassin for an orville now.

a logo on a headstock aint he be all and end all kids....................

  • THE GRECO!!!!!!!!

  • Like the greco and the burny, the black aria sounds a bit too light? the gibson to me sounds the poorest of the bunch
