humm awsome guitar I like the sound of this guitar against the martin d-28 the solid mog. makes for a deep clarity sound where as the rosewood back and sides is really warm but sometimes when you really get down with the struming the roswood doesn't keep its clarity this again is what I found when I played them side by side at guitar center could have just been a bad d-28 as for the cutaway vs dread the dread has a more full sound for struming while the cut is more focused and good for lead !

@nastybastard Yeah, I'd like to hear them beside a D-28, D-235, or Taylor 410. All in the same price range. I'm beside myself trying to decide, but I guess it's not the worst position to be in. I wonder if the cut away affects the volume that much?

Great job and damn that is a beautiful guitar. I love the way gibson's look and sound, I just hate dropping a months pay, but you get what you pay for.
