I would hazard a guess that Bruce has never even heard of the Lightening Seeds let alone stole a hook from them..I do agree with you that it sounds similar...still great though.

Springsteen supports the Marxist human wrecking ball in the White House so it is no surprise his new album is called "Wrecking Ball." Hope and change has turned into hopelessness, tyranny, joblessness, pets being put down at animal control due to financial hardship, and many more instances of our not taking care of our own. 4 more years of this and we will be looking like Greece!

This song refocuses collective experiences of your up bringing and reminds you of what is important. No matter how the chips may fall politically , keep in mind that if we are to have a civilized country we are to take care of our neighbors. To what extent is a controversy . It should be instinctive in the hills and hollars of Tennessee to talk to your neighbor who's marriage is in trouble and the kids see fighting and mom and dad with no job.
