  • may he live to 160

  • @sherlockhaimes Yeah, that's not what I got from it. Through the whole movie, I was rooting for the Pagans. Everyone is so nice to Howie, but he's such an asshole to them. They show him every hospitality, which he repays by insulting everything about them to their faces.

  • @jimbobhk2009 are u mad? may he live to 1000 years old

  • Wow. I did'nt kno they cut out stuff from this film

  • Hmmm I heard the director intended to make a horror movie without the horror

  • the wicker man was unintentially hilarious

  • I have seen three different cuts of the original Wicker Man, all with a very different feel to them. The first one I saw when it came out made the Pagans rather sympathetic and portrayed the Edward Woodward character as a really nasty piece of work, so the feeling at the end was sort of 'well, he kind of deserved it.'

Several years ago I rented the film again from Netflix and, with about 10-15 minutes edited out, it had almost the opposite effect. It was almot an entirely different movie.

  • @jimbobhk2009 That man may very well do so.

  • @666BrotherofMetal Actually there was no real historical proof that actually happened the whole burning of sacrifices in a giant Wicker man was something the Romans had said the ancient Celts used to do, but again outside of those writings there is no real proof that the Celts/the Celtic religious sect The Druids actually did that.
