i actually don't care who hosts what. i just watch the show to hear engine noises, wonderful car cinematography and track testing. you could have mr. bean, bill nye, and the mythbusters host and i'd still watch it if they had great cars.

@soupys These guys who thumbed up this comment, no offense, but they have no idea about the American Show... It's all about a new show based on a succeed platform (TGUK)... The presenters of it, are not trying to replace anyone on the current show.. It's all about being themselves, and it has big success too. Anyway, i love both shows, and i agree that the TGUK it can't be replaced.. Although the TGUS isn't trying to do that.. It's a new funny interesting show and it's going well...

@blowjobjohnson I agree. People are comparing this to a show that's had years to progress, learn, build chemistry...Top Gear America had one season. And know what? The UK version of Top Gear wasn't NEARLY as good in it's first season either.

Besides, all the stuff they talk about on the British show, the speed cameras, caravans, European racing drivers...I couldn't care less about that stuff, it's thousands of miles away. But a localized version can show me things I DO care about.

@soupys No body is trying to. They're still there, but there's the added benefit to a version of the show Americans can relate to.

Caravans, speed cameras, touring cars...big whoop, that's thousands of miles away, but it strikes a chord with the Brits. A localized show for Americans CAN strike a chord with people here and be a very good succuess if people stop comparing it to the UK version, which it's not trying to be except where the BBC contract obligates.

@Newevotime1988 You know I'm part Welsh. I like the UK version a lot. Jeremy is awesome. I just hate how people pick on some one because of where they live. I agree that people are mean everywhere. I wasn't saying the British were mean, I was saying you were. No need to get so angry. I shouldn't have gone off at you I'm just mad at stereotypes Americans are known for. Like I said not all of us are stupid, just some kids who ruin their lives by not trying.
