This is the first (of two) versions of the song "Burning Souls" for the band Soulsharbor.
Directors Note: This project was a blessing in disguise. After finding a band that would let me film them, it was a five hour car ride from St. Augustine, FL to Charleston, SC to set up for the shoot.
Originally supposed to have the band interacting with South Carolina landmarks, time constraints and talent availability kind of forced us to go guerrilla-style.
The song was "Burning Souls" but I wanted to stay away from the cliche of fire. Even though the color palette used very warm, fiery colors. What I did was focus on the theme of desire, or in its most animated form, "Burning Desire" and what it takes to have it. Hence, a lot of the shots have them behind cages and fences. Seeing your goals but not being able to fully realize them. Enjoy!
