David Vogel and Asha ten Broeke both get 30 seconds at the main stage at TEDxAmsterdam 2009. Asha talks about sex differences, which are not necessarily innate, but can be caused by epigenetics when parenting switches genes on and off in the malleable baby brain. David explains how newspapers can make money on the internet by allowing their readers to do something related to the news, like make an immediate micro-payment online.

  • I think half of the people in the room don't have a clue what the internet is and what it does. Embarrassing to see these young enthusiastic people speak to deaf mans ears. A real waste of good intentions and time and money.

  • A new definition of "getting straight to the point" great job Asha! : )

  • Asha, very well said! Bravo. En David, you speak such beautiful English! Compliments for both of you. And yes, I think you were better off doing your thing on the main stage instead of in the Mauritszaal. End could have done with a bit more Uhmpf.
