Tarja said in a press conference that she loved the music. She had a part in the final creation of the songs. Its her vocals on the studio albums so she owns them as well. Anette can sing the previous songs before Dark Passion Play because Nightwish owns the sings too. It would be a copyright issue only if Tarja sang songs from Dark Passion Play and clamied them as her own though I don't imagine why she would anyway. She's not doing anything wrong. And the some fans want to hear the old songs.

Her past in NW is just undeniable! just because she sings NW songs, it doesn't mean she wants to be back in the band! and as her husband said...it's just the same as Paul McCartney playing the Beatles songs.. he ain't imitating the Beatles or sth.. it's just the band he was part of... just like Tarja.. She was part of NW.....
