Huangshan Mountain has inspired poets and artists for centuries. It is said to be sacred to Taoists and Buddhists. We went to watch the sunset. As we were leaving we saw a family of Huangshan Macaques. As if they came out to say goodbye.
Some of the greatest artists and poets of China have climbed the peaks. Li Bai - the great sage/poet named the mountain. The name is often mistranslated as "Yellow" but the Chinese character means - August One - like noble. Because it is so grand.
