  • The tune is actually called 'Mother in Law Blues'-original by Junior Parker. The bootleg cd this is taken from lists it,incorrectly as 'Baby Please Don't Go'.

  • THANKS FOR THE INFO

  • Gotta love this.

  • did you check out "got a mind to give up living" yet?

  • I never heard this one before... and I have been a serious Butterfield fan since the 1960's...!

Is there more like this somewhere...?

Incedentally... There is a fairly rare record called "Sammy Lay in Bluedland" on "Blue Thumb" records. It is the same lineup as the PBBB on East-West album. Find it and GRAB it...! You won't believe Mike Bloomfield's take on Chuck Berry's "You Can't catch Me"...! Seriously.

  • Yup. Butterfield covered 'Baby please don't go' on the' Better days' album, to good effect.
