Grumpy Jii-san's been watching cartoons for way too long. After rewatching an oddity, he's going to chat about it in his most long-winded talk yet.

This time, the narration is shot in Arizona's Agua Fria river canyon. As a matter of fact, it was actually recorded over a year ago. Took a while to develop the film :)

You can find a transcript of these remarks here:

  • Great review. Never did I expect that I would see your review Gantz.

  • Suggestion: Put the name of the anime you're reviewing in the tags. It makes it easier for people to find it.

  • 3:37 lol

  • Two of my favorite characters -> ROFL! Wow, I didn't know you reviewed this travesty, and only three stars...damn, that's merciful (no offense to you). Also, "Shoot the gun!" felt like you were gonna get pissed, but it seems this calm emanates around you like a cloak; I wish I could be as calm as you, especially when giving a review of this anime series. Yeah, in Episode 1, I was like "Really? They couldn't jump onto the platform from the tracks..." but I didn't mention it in my review.

  • lol his dry wit is the best!

  • Well to be fair it is much deeper then you think it would be. I mean it was interesting to hear what each of the characters were thinking. But they seem to have a very poor opinion of the human race, even by my standards which are pretty low. And this is no masterpeice, not by any streach. There are many problems with the show, among them paceing, logic, and the ending.

  • Graduate of an American High school XD classy.

  • i absolutely love gantz! the guy who directed it also directed two other masterpeices called Angel Cop and Violence Jack: Evil Town

  • Has Grumpy Jii-san reviewed Elfen Lied?

  • Bob Ross says 'Hi'.

  • Wow, the last time I saw you like this, is was with 'Aquarion'...

You should see a friend of mine; he thinks Gantz is the best anime ever, waxing poetic about how 'deep' and 'metaphorical' it is. I'm not against nihilism (see: Lord of the Flies), but making jackasses main characters doesn't make them cool, or the shows good.

That goes for you, too, Death Note. -_-#

  • True, but I pray he doesn't get angry again like this time. God help us if he gets pissed.
