I don't remember Rampage being such a middlegrounded character. He doesn't really align with the Preds or the Maximals. He is still evil, yes, but he valued the life of Transmutate and plus, he's only with the Predacons because he has to be.

I have to admit, I'm a little depressed by how Transmutate died. If she'd survived, I'd want to see her as a Predacon, if only to see her friendship with Rampage grow.
