You can see at 0:12 that KING was still using film to some extent (I think mostly for features) in 1982. KING was the last of the "big three" in Seattle to acquire ENG capability, only within a year or two before this promo. (KIRO was first back in '75 and I'm sure they had completed the transition to videotape by this time.)
I love how basic graphics were in 1982...
