My uncle purchased this mower in 1999 to mow his lawn. It is a 6 horsepower 21" self propelled, 3-in-1 lawn mower with front wheel casters. It is Tecumseh powered. It was purchased as Sam's Club and was intended to mow his lawn. Apparently it never ran quite right, having motor issues, grass cutting issues, and long story short, after he got a 1970's Yard-Man from his brother that ran great, he was going to throw it away. I intercepted it and this it's story of recovery.

Once getting it home, I dropped some gas in the dry tank and primed it about 20 times. One hard pull and she was running...of course the dead man control was toast, so I stopped it by unplugging the spark plug and I ruined the recoil starter rope. This video goes over that story, me fixing a carburetor leak, new recoil rope (with weed-whacker line), and jacking it up high for bush mowing, which is it's new lease on life.

  • i am looking at one of these on craigslist just like yours but in better condition and one of the front caster wheels is broke, its a 2 piece assembly but the lower fork with wheel has come off.How MUCH should i pay for a mower like that ?

and what can be done to recconect that bottom wheel fork ?

  • @pontiachotshot Free. You can pay but there are lots of free mowers out there if you ask around.

  • try adjusting your float in your carb to fix that leak

  • @nick812502 Yeah...for the work it would take to adjust the bowl, you could just fix it.

  • the carb could be leaking because the float inside the carb in not at the right hight play around with that and that should fix your problem

  • Now that is a nice mower! I could put it to great use! Oh and I subbed ya!

  • @metalshredder161 You could using the nut on the top of the engine and a drill to turn it over...just be really careful when it fires.

  • @Turbo231 u couldnt start it with out the pull string

  • @metalshredder161 You will need to fix the recoil start before you can start it.
