This video will show you how to install a Murray's firing pin into your SKS rifle. The Murray's firing pin replaces your standard free-floating firing pin with a spring loaded American-made pin which virtually eliminates the risk of slam-firing.

  • I've owned 3 SKS rifles, my current is a norinco, but I've had a yugo and a russian. Kept the norinco because I thought the build quality was the best... Never had a slam fire even with thousands of wolf without cleaning. AR's have free floating firing pins.... You dont hear of many slam fire stories with them. The real issue is people pulling these rifles our of storage, caked in cosmoline and shoot them without making sure ALL of it is gone. Hint, heat the bolt in the oven to remove cosmoline.

Its just a nice thing to have. I've owned a few SKS myself and this was the only one I put it in. No one needs to do a lot of things to rifles for them to function right, its just personal preference.

  • How much is the murrays firepin?

  • @runhorun $37.00 shipped to your door, according to the website.

  • are these firing pins available in canada?

  • @567WORMBOY123

I would not know. Can you normally ship firing pins or other firearms parts from the US to Canada? I know you folks up there have some pretty awful laws pertaining to guns up there. I could only speculate that because its just a stick of metal and a spring that you could but I would contact the folks and Murraysguns and ask them.

  • @mst2112 haha your a sucker

  • 75 bucks to ship to canada is horse shit the guns go for less than 200. CLEAN YOUR RIFLE and quit being a bunch of pussies. This is a bad ass russian tank of a rifle and does not require a sissy spring.

  • Sorry no mark on shells. My email is jeffreick@gmail.com

  • My gun just stopped working halfway through a clip. Is the problem most likely my fireing pin ? Still makes sound like a dry fire but mark on shells afterwords

  • i wonder if the fireing pin counts as a 922 compliance part

  • i ordered and Murray's shipped to Canada. 75.00
