Practicing 1-foot press lift to handstand with various leg positions, scissor switch, stag, scorpion in slow motion, eagle twisted root, splits in-the-air. Quick 2 feet straddle press demo with backside view.
Return to roots of heavier inversion practice after recent focus on flexibility training.

Body weight on hands demands toned core & torso muscles, strong & straight arms & forearms to safely execute- for advanced athletic practitioners.

Beginners start with half or full handstand against the wall unless you are prepared to cartwheel, walk the hands, or fall over into bridge or wheel pose to recover.

Ujjayi yogic breathing practiced in conjunction with static holding to keep calm, stay focused & expand the spine.

Self motivated health & fitness conscious female training to improve balance, strength & flexibility through inversions & yoga bodyweight conditioning & stretching exercises.

  • Wow, I wish I knew how to keep my balance! I stay up for like 8 seconds knowing the wall is a close to me and can't find the courage to do it away from the wall.

  • @TheWooHooism

my advice is you need to practice over balancing & cartwheeling out or walking on your hands to recover...falling is par for the course...until you get fallling down to a science & make it conditioned response that is like second nature you will always be afraid to work away from wall...take off the training wheels friend..you can fly.

get a partner to spot & coach you at first...good luck!

  • very impressed. Is the one footed press easier than normal presses [tuck, pike etc.]? as I would like to try learning it as opposed to jumping and kicking up from downward facing dog.

  • @smeightytwo

one footed easier if you have good splits flexibility as hips are preset higher finding balance quicker... i visualize bent leg in air driving toward back of head. little momentum good...just try to maintain control!

    good luck!

  • I want to be like you when I eventually hit your age, You're so fit! it's amazing how you can do this! I'm a huge fan :)! I'm learning the exact same thing at the moment and only hope to have as much balance as you do!

  • @rebeccarachelle

you are well on your way to succeeding with stag & scorpion variations looking good girl!
