Video shows the crackle sound from a wood wick candle I made. It's a soft crackle like a fireplace. This is on the candle's first burn.

  • Could You Please tell me what type of wood you used. I used a Oak wood for mine but it burns really low and does not crackle. The flame is less than mediocre but still burns, I've had it burning nearly for about 3 days and its barely went down any. I'm sure that the small flame produced is the culprit. Any advice to and amateur candle maker would be appreciated. Thanks.
