"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it -- that that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ... These are people who pay no income tax. ... [M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

"7% of the population over 18 is on food stamps" No, there's 46.6 million people on food stamps. That's well over 7%.

I'm one of this 47% and I didn't vote for Obama. I voted for Romney. To me, this statement did sound like a real dumb thing to say.

you are all so fucking stupid. Hes 100% right. He made NO racial implications. This country is lazy and has become dependent on entitlements and Obama has vowed to keep those entitlements. You are entitled to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness. Not free healthcare food and housing.

Yes your own beloved republican party created the social policies that you hate today. Richard Nixon and Dwight Eisenhower. How ironic is that, it's very ironic. But in all seriousness, Romney's economic plan was awful. "I will cut taxes on the middle class (57% of people above 18), and increase government funded projects. Example: roads, improved schools etc..." That does not add up. please get your facts straight BEFORE you rant. There are some things I hate about democrats as well.....

Bipartisan here! 47% of Americans pay no income tax, well that seems unsurprising. 25% of Americans are under 18, 7% are unemployed, 10% have a job that is untaxable 1% avoid taxes, and the rest are misc... It's sad that people are still disgruntled over the election. Romney had a terrible economic plan anyway, I crunched the numbers, and they never added up. Furthermore, only 7% of the population over 18 is on food stamps. Social security, medicare, medicare that was mostly Nixon a, republican.

How is Romney being bashed for this? This is absolutely true. Asshole democrat voters think everything should be free, and if you are not in favor of everything being free then you only care about rich white men. Give me a fucking break, this fucking idiots dont realize you cant just make everything free with the push of a button, thats why our economy is in the fucking shitter. Get these whistleblowers the fuck out of OUR congress and white house!!!!

I agree 100% with Mitt on this issue. As long as you have a party using the government to buy votes it will be very hard to win elections based on the issues. As a condition of receiving long-term government assistance you should be required to volunterally surrender your voting rights as you now have a conflict on interest and are incapable of beeing objective. Ofcourse your going to vote for the guy signing the checks month after month even if it will bankrupt the country. And its coming fast
