Triumphs quest for domination of the 600cc supersport category took another leap forward with the introduction of the 2009 Daytona 675.

While at first glance the new 675 looks identical to the previous model, a rack of detail changes should add up to make the new machine a bigger threat to the Japanese opposition the 2006-2008 version was no slouch in handling and performance to start with.

But how much better is the new Daytona 675? For a measured analysis both bikes went through the MCN mill of side-by-side road riding, performance and dyno testing.

  • @liamms89 They are riding cautiously because of the road conditions they mentioned.

  • I love it! Even though the bloke at mcn did an incredibly boring presentation of this bike, I still look forward to owning another Triumph soon! Nothing else in the world sounds like that 3-banger!

Oh right, thanks for letting me know although im still quite far from a 600cc (its 600 right?)

    Im only 15 :P

  • @usblg4gb my friend is 6'2 and he owns an 05 kawi ninja 636 i've ridden it and im 6feet tall, the ninja 636 is a tall bike that i think you would like. its the tallest bike i've ridden on

  • which sports motorbike would you recommend for a tall person; lets say 6'3 6'4 ?

  • @FRFM00 thanks dude:o)

  • @rippedandpumped Hey. I may buy one this sunday at the local dealer (2007). I've sat on a gixxer, r6, cbr1000, all 2007 and up... way more comfortable. You can tell the Daytona is for the track as soon as you sit on it. agressive seat which is very firm and the bars are agressive. I'm around your height and when my ass is furthest at the back and i can plant my feet. The bike is very narrow-ish. which felt quite good. I think you're good to go. Make the trek with a buddy and sit on one!

  • this bike is known to be tall, im 5'9 would i be on tip toes? the nearest dealership with a daytona is 2 hours away so cant sit on one to see for myself i'm afraid. thanks in advance to anyone who can help:)

  • i will have a R6 please, or better yet a GXS-R 750

  • Das ist ja schlimm..-.- wie die um die kurven "heizen" ...

  • Never could stand the wheeze whine noise they make.

  • lol, i can barley hear what the man says, because of the loveley noise from the triumphs!
