A veterinarian out at dinner with his spouse is seen by a client and a conversation ensues. If you are anyone in the vet profession, you can relate to this scenario

  • the vegetarian part is dumb but the rest is funny :)

  • @MothraSue Yes, admittedly, the vegetarian part is weak. However, it was used to illustrate the whims and vagaries of people. I have had even less logical things thrown at me. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest though!

  • how are loving animals and eating meat related? friend vs food! very different purpose!!! now if your pet is a cow, just don't eat the steak in front of them and you should be fine

  • @psycobasschick I think the point was that they aren't really related. Yet, people are amazing at taking unrelated things and making them seem reasonable to themselves. And that was the point. Thanks for your comment!

  • THIS is what I have to look forward to if I want to become a vet? *shakes head* I don't think I could refrain from reaching out and slapping someone.

  • Hilarious! I am a vet and I can totally relate.

  • @psycobasschick LOL I would pay good money to see that!

  • @RedneckYachtClubber my fave is when ppl tell me that feeding goldfish to my oscar, wilbur, is cannibalism. its only cannibalism if an organism eats an organism of the same species. besides, its fun to watch him inhale those things!

  • @psycobasschick I've heard that many times before...I tend to keep rescued birds (4 out of my 5 are rescues) and people freak out when they see me eating chicken, like "I thought you liked birds!"

Trust me, I hear it a lot.

  • Do you promise? LOL!

  • Yes, this is what we have to look forward to when we are out and about.

  • Lol these were very clever and a cautionary tale for anyone bringing their animal to the vet.
