this bird is an aracary i might have spelled it wrong but its pronounced ar-a-sar-ee. the other one is a mousebird. if you want one they are 2000$ and you can onl get them from breeders. (update) this video is 2 years old and that wasn't me talking in the background.

  • I would love to have one of these! Such pretty colors, and I've always liked the hopping. Someday....

i know! theres one at our bird store who hops everywhere!

  • the actual way to calm birds is to rub behind their neck. if you do it on small birds they fall asleep.

  • Yes, these are VERY special birds and are extremely happy in captivity. (Although this kid is acting like a jerk with Cricket). I know Jason who owns her. He is a very caring and responsible animal lover.

  • who owns the bird in the video?

by the way this was when i was a kid.

  • why do this when he doesnt want to be touched? stupid

  • Cricket is a Green Aracaris...and it seems instead of calming her the person is irritating her...good thing this species has such a good temperament...a cockatoo would've taken a finder off!!!!!

  • dont you understand this bird dosent want to be touched! how would you feel if i touch you against your will HCTIB!!!

  • The kid asks whether the bird is finger tame. Hopefully not. Leave it alone. Love to have one. Though I think my tomcat William would be VERY "curious" about it.

  • God bless little Cricket! She is so good with those little rufians! If it were me. I'd poke those kids eyes out...!
