The Sarah Hollins award recognizes a member of the Darden School of Business staff who best exemplifies customer service, community building, and positive working relations throughout the year. The award is named in remembrance of a long-time and beloved member of the Darden staff who retired in 2003. Two months later, Sarah Hollins was killed in an automobile accident. Sarah devoted nearly 20 years of dedicated service to Darden as an academic assistant, receptionist and periodicals librarian. She is remembered as a woman whose principal qualities were cheerfulness, sympathy, service and generosity. The Sarah Hollins Award is the major annual recognition that Darden can bestow on a staff member. The intent is to recognize an individual "who is the most outstanding Darden citizen" in any given year. This video features thoughts from the award recipients in 2006, 07 and 08, as well as memories from Sarah's library co-workers and supervisor.
