I did this once when I paid for a ticket and it wouldn't read, just drive my lowered AW11 MR2 right under the arm, I just lifted it slightly and drove right underneath whilst holding it to the amusement of onlookers.

Yes it is a bit taller than normal, but no regular car would go under it.
