Here's the video adidas1984x wanted to see that I shot last year at PAPA 11 of Tattoo Assassins.

As I said in the video, these two machines were in a flood they had in 2004 only a few days after the PAPA 7 tournament.

There's a lot of history about this game and if you'd like to know more about this game, please feel free to visit Dan Amrich's Tattoo Assassins page at this link.

He's got a ton of inside information about how the game was started, tons of pictures and a whole lot more. Also, don't forget to check out other Youtube members videos of the game's insane fatalities.

  • How the hell did you find a working cabinet?

  • @modewr The owner of the PAPA Facility, Kevin, was/is good friends with one of the pinball designers that used to work at Data East. When Data East closed up shop Kevin got the machines. (I'm not sure if he bought them, or got them as a gift)

But sadly, right now their not working. Since I'm not at PAPA this year I can't tell if the games were repaired or not. Hopefully they will be, because they could be the only two left in the world.

  • @PressStartComic No idea. Considering that it was only a prototype and never released in arcades I wouldn't know what price somebody would want for it. Plus, the game sucks and the cabs were damaged in a flood, so I have no idea how much they'd be worth today.

  • is that a sword beneath the phantom menace framed poster.

  • @iamextremelyawesome Yep, I got it at the PA Renaissance fare a couple of years ago. It's still in the crappy plastic holder. I want to get a holder for it to hang it on my wall, but I've still got 10 or 12 arcade marquees to go up first.

  • I think this game was never released right?? LOL its easy to get for mame lol you shouldn't be scared to say it.

  • No, what you see is the two of the only prototype cabs left in existence and since the flood they don't work anymore. But it's not a loss by any means.

  • Are you the guy who does Press Start from sydlexia

  • Did PAPA ever get these cabinets fixed? Technically if they replaced the bad roms with ones from the MAME dump, they might be able to get them working outside of the attract screen again.

  • This version is different than the one on M.A.M.E 3:27 and 4:05 Koldan (boss) laughs on the battle plan instead of saying "not" which he does in the M.A.M.E Version.....

  • @PressStartComic : Do you know how much a working cabinet of Tatoo Assassins is worth today? Is it worth next to nothing or thousands of dollars?

  • I always wondered what had happened to Tattoo Assassins. Did it ever come out of "beta testing" stages? Those were the kinds of thoughts I had at the time. The version we had didn't have the nudalities. Actually we didn't know they'd existed ! When Tattoo Assassins left the place I worked I never heard from the game eversince - until now.
