A legend. One of the most creative, talented and funniest comedians of all time. Taken way too soon but NEVER forgotten.

Never laughed so hard in my life until I witnessed Gilda as "Emily Latella" on SNL; always ended with "nevermind." Sooooo funnny; thank you Gilda Radner for EL and myriad others you brought to life before our very eyes during 'early days' of SNL. Wish I could instantly witness more. And speaking of which, anyone have footage of "Emily Latella"s PSA on "Bus(t)ing school children?" I quake to see that particular gem, among many, again.

@hourglassqt That wasn't Roseanne, that was Emily Litella (violins on television)

Is it just me, or does the Rad look like Linda Lavin from Alice?

Loved her.. Miss the shit out of her and all the old SNL crew..

I was a Marine in Desert Storm working late at night in the mess hall preparing food for the next day.
We had a make-shift library set up that had books donated by the great citizens of the USA and I saw "It's Always Something" sitting on a desk. I read that book and laughed because I had always liked Gene (the ONLY Willy Wonka) and knew of Gilda's cancer.
Her story was truly inspirational, really made me think of life and the book carried me through Desert Storm - I was alive and thankful.

When she died dear Gene died. You never heard anything about Gene after that. His heart so broke he just faded away. "It's always something". Gilda Radner

Miss her, too. Those were SNL's best years.

Gilda is my idol. She was one of a kind, but a great insiration R.I.P.

RIP Gilda, we love you and miss you. The two funniest characters to ever step on the SNL state, Gilda and John Belushi, are gone but never forgotten
