  • nice video, how long have you been training in bjj? you look fairly young... I recently grew attached to these submissions that I neglected before, and your detailed description really made them easy

  • @hutchsapprentice Thanks, glad they helped! I made these videos a few years ago when I was a purple belt. I've been training a long time, I guess maybe 13 years or so at this point, and I recently got my black belt this past spring. I'm 34.

  • Whoa is that the IM building wrestling room at Penn State? I used to train there. I just randomly found this video and I was thinking, "damn, that room looks familiar." Bizarre.

  • Yes! Used to train there almost every day, until Coach Oishi kicked everyone but wrestlers and his judokas out. Cool guy but very crazy. ;)

  • Thank you for this tutorial, much better than those submission 101 vids. However, in terms of locking your hands, do you gable grip it, or do you grab your wrist with the other? Should your hands be against his throat, or all you need is for your forearm to be against his neck?

  • nice video, how long have you been doing bjj? you look fairly young. These videos actually helped me a lot with some things I never really took a liking to until recently. I appriciate the help

  • Came for the PaperCutter, got hooked for the series, Thanks for putting this up!

  • or jigoku jime / hell choke as it was called originally in judo

  • Great stuff Jeff!

  • YES. That was the name I first learned it by, and still tend to call it...although Peruvian Necktie is admittedly cooler. ;)

  • innovated by peruvian fighter Tony de Souza
