In Australia, a highly toxic, alien invader is attacking the protected habitat of Moreton Bays endangered green turtles. Destroying all the vegetation in its path, the notorious fireweed is wreaking havoc on the turtles natural diet and challenging the comeback of these ancient creatures. Deploying National Geographics Crittercam®, researchers learn how the turtles are coping, and search for ways to protect them from the invading slime.

Man, I think those turtles are adorable. I've never been a turtle person, but I AM an animal lover in general (I can even hold a snake if I know it's not going to hurt me; if it's safe enough for Bindi to handle, it's certainly good enough for me!). I'm very quick to take things to heart, both good and bad. But that also means after watching Finding Nemo and those turtles talking to him, I found them to be quite endearing. Lately I find everything about Australia to be endearing.

Well I care, and I'm sure so do the Aussies. I guess watching "Finding Nemo" kinda does that to me. Steve Irwin's passion for wildlife too. I guess care for our wildlife gets contagious. Moreover, they eat jellyfish, many of which are life-threatening and not always easily seen.

If only Green Sea Turtles were as cute as sea otters maybe more people would care about saving them... Oh well, what can ya do!
