  • As always George lots to admire here, especially the rhythmic energy and drive. However, the interpretation overall could have more space, and greater warmth in the middle section. It's also reassuring to realise that you too are human and sometimes hit wrong notes! Congratulations all the same. (ps If you're after the ultimate performance of this piece, listen to Dinu Lipatti if you haven't already.)

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment. I will keep it in my mind when I play again next time.

  • You can't criticise him for that, it's a perfectly legitimate way to do it, especially considering he's 13. Chenyin Li uses the same technique.

  • Grandioso, tocas te maravilla !!!!!!!

  • 0:39 is that acceptable to use that technique?

  • Bravissimooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @paulprocopolis Yes, I would tend to agree with your comments but, then again, it is still an amazing performance for one so young. Lipatti, Richter and Gilel's performances are all great interpretations of this hugely difficult piece and it says something that you should include Georrge in the same sentence as such legends. I am waiting to hear Geroge's interpretation when he reaches their level of 'musical' maturity. It's good that George still has something 'great' to aspire to.

  • wow! almost 3 yrs now since this, and now the new performance u posted. I simply can't get over how you play this. and watching you play makes the music sound that much better. so much energy and passion in this. The execution is pristine.

  • so much fun to listen to and watch. very good!

  • Do you have any repeated note advice George? My piano has a heavy action; does that make is harder to play repeated notes quickly?

    Nice work!

  • haha i love his face ...good job little boy ;)

  • I feel your performances are wonderful George; thanks for sharing!!
