Jeez, give the peerson a break. Cats with long fur like that needs to be clipped. It benefits them because it is much more bearable during summer.
So what he/she did it with a scissors? The hair will grow back!!

I know. You're right. My husband does it about once a year... takes him to the groomer. We didn't really cut his hair with scissors.
