1985 KBHK 44 Sign-Off with National Anthem

Sign-off of KBHK TV in the San Francisco area. Broadcast ends abruptly after the National Anthem. Remember when most stations shut down at night? This one reminds me of the beginning of the movie "Poltergeist."

@scoobydoorocks10 as i mentioned before, some still do. they still do in some places. i know this much, because they still do it on one tv station that i watch. but they only sign off on the weekends. they usually sign off at 2:00 am

Who was the man with the voice. I still remember in the 70's it was the same guy. When the anthem came on, that's when I knew I stayed up too late on a school night:)

they should still do this. who needs to broadcast after midnight or whatever? everyone is sleeping, and this would make late nighters go to bed of boredom.
