With only a week to incorporate sweeping changes in the Locomotion show, the Marching Mustangs captured the highest score out of all the bands performing at Shawnee Saturday night. Here is a video of the performance. "Doc" and Mrs. Weesner personally offer their congratulations to everyone for their dedication and hard work.

  • Yep, it's a small band. And getting smaller in the fall. Sure there's flaws, but it was good enough to win this mid-season competition. This show was a judge-pleaser, and this little band won USSBA Div II-A state championships two years in a row. We also did well in the All-states, though we didn't win the whole thing - I think we came in second.

I mainly posted this for the students and their families, anyone else is welcome to view it too of course. Good luck in your shows!

  • I'm a fan of this show, and you guys did an awesome job for your size! I'm from San Diego, and the average band size is 100 to 150 winds (my band is just a little under 150 winds). one of the largest bands did this show two years ago, and I'm always excited to see a small bands to the same show as a much larger band and do really well. Awesome, awesome job!

  • GO MAINLAND!
