I review the Taurus PT1911. I traded for this gun about 2 weeks ago, and so far I am very impressed. I went into this expecting what I suppose everyone expects out of a Taurus, but what I got was superior quality at a great price. This gun may wear the Taurus brand, but should not be saddled with the second rate reputation that name carry's. This has quickly become one of my favorite guns. If you are on a limited budget and want a quality 1911 I'd urge you to consider the Taurus PT1911.----------------------------------------------Music by Modest Mouse "Missed the Boat"

  • It is still doing great! I've got close to 1000 rounds, including JHP, down range now, and I haven't had any problems. I keep it clean and lubricated and it treats me well. I hope you enjoy your 1911 whatever you decide.

  • im happy to see someone is actually smart about their ammo....i dont care what it is i would hate to be shot by any bullet ...even a damn .22 haha.....but the only problem with the fmj is if there is bystanders then you have a higher chance of the bullet penetrateing all the way through and hitting some inocent bystander in the background somewher

  • Nice Gun. I'm thinking of getting both the .45 acp + 9mm (for shits and giggles). Although I have yet to see too many videos on the 9mms, it would still be interesting to try.

    1) What does your grouping look like? Any pics/ Vids/ details?

    2) Based on your review for the .45, would you recommend the 9mms?

Keep us posted with any Mods or good/ bad experiences. Thanks.

  • LOve the ambi safety. Great gun. Good value.

  • How is this gun doing now? Does it still shoot well? I was going to get a ruger Sr1911 but I'm really starting to like this Taurus.
