What kind of ancient shit is this?

Excellent! This was the BEST recording of this song! I remember watching this on The Lawrence Welk Show with my Dad, about a million years ago. I loved it so much, my Dad got the 45rpm for me to listen to. 'Calcutta' by Lawrence Welk's Orchestra was on the flip side. :) Thanks so much for posting this- I just love it!

I was terrified of my grandfather's clock! It was a cuckoo clock. The cuckoo was Ok, I guess, but there was a weird Tyrolean figure that came out of the other door, and it frightened me as a child. When Grandpa died, We tried to take it off the wall, and it shattered to pieces. Turns out, only nicotine and dust held it together, and kept it glued to the wall.

very glad and happy you posted it...regardless of the critic's message of the synch. Who cares? At least we have the clip as a bit of musical history...
MANY THANKS FOR POSTING!!!

This is the only version I remember. His voice is perfect for this song and I am sure many more. Thank you for sharing the special song.
