In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h.

  • VOLVO!!! = THE WORLDS SAFEST CARS!!!!

I was at the volvo brand experience center

and they showed a movie about a guy that had traveled in a volvo,

    It was January.

    Slippery as hell,

and the skidded across the road at about 50-70 km/h.

Another car hit the passanger side traveling at 70-90 km/h

The guy passanger got some bruises and scrapes.

The model of volvo was a S80 i think

  • If i would have my children in any car, it would probably be this one. The performance at the pole impact is just amazing.

  • Volvo for life...

  • @KoopaKabana IT's hopeless talking to you fool.

  • @KoopaKabana haha, it seems kids like you sitting behind computers all day just wont admit you did something wrong, won't listen to explanations or even use your brain to think. until one day when u learn physics and momentum then you can think about those comment u posted and laugh at yourself for being so immature. Go on, compare your score, the golf is better, the golf is better! haha.

  • @ClubbySuperCharged Did I ever say that anything about the frontal impact test? The Ford Explorer could hardly be considered safe and that's a monster of an SUV. Going by Euro NCAP results it would suggest the Golf is the safer vehicle. Volvo XC60- Adult Occupant 94% Child Occupant 79% vs VW Golf Adult Occupant 97% Child Occupant A car 'like' a Golf isn't a Golf you MORON.

  • @KoopaKabana LOL. You still can't understand. Well then, have it your way.

  • @ClubbySuperCharged SO WHAT! Read the stats on Euro NCAP's website!?! WHY you trying to argue for get a life! All I said was, according to the tests performed by Euro NcAP the Golf outperformed the Volvo- OKAY!?!

  • @KoopaKabana *Higher ride height* my bad.

  • @KoopaKabana In the frontal impact, the golf scored well because the crash is to simulate a same vehicle heading the same speed. But it would be totally different in real world crashes. There's a video by ADAC which shows the Golf vs the XC90. Even the Golf is safer, the weight of the XC90 ( Bigger Vehicle) simply pushed the Golf away like a golf cart. No, i don't hate golf. But the idea is this, cars which are higher perform better in a crash.

  • @KoopaKabana Here is a video that shows a 5 star safety fiat 500 vs a 4 star rating q7.

    /watch?v=6pVF1Wr7GLQ

The ratings are just reference to safety, they are no way accurate under the real world conditions. And please don't say the golf will fair better with its better ratings, this video is just to show you a comparison in a real world situation where weight is taken into account. So to correct you for the last time, a golf is very safe, safer than most small cars but not the xc60.
