  • @MrLukeElliottS the difference between him and glee is this: he made no money out of it! i just think it is very sad that the show creatives done such a thing, to pass it as their own ideia. because they're the big ones, the ones there are seen, the ones that make money, its sad that it is (or was, in this case at least) out of others people ideias. ps. no ideia they've done 'i follow', must check, but most of all they do relie on hits...

  • @leguminoso In all fairness, he has no right to be pissed off. He put it up on YouTube without copyright, that makes it fair game, it's not stealing. Sad, but that's the world we live in. I'm sure plenty of people have done his version, just happens that Glee did too. And Glee doesn't "only play hits"; numerous musical numbers, plenty American songs we Brits haven't heard of and a few foreign numbers that weren't big in the US or UK, e.g. Lykke Li- I Follow Rivers.

  • @MrLukeElliottS Are you so sure? he tweeted : "Hmm. You know I never even thought of completely ripping off someone's COVER of a song, and I love stealing! Nice job, @GLEEonFOX." Glee pretended that that version was originally from them..... And Glee is NOT "opening most of the Western world up to music they've not heard before" quite the contrary actually, since they ONLY play hits...

  • People need to calm down and stop hating on Glee. They heard this, they liked it, they found a place where it could go and they used it. I'm sure he's grateful. Glee is opening most of the Western world up to music they've not heard before and placing a lot of past hits back in the charts.

  • wow. just great. saw it on glee and instantly knew they didn't do this. had to find the original

  • @thespion i must be an exception... ive not even seen the glee version

  • like anyone in 2011 would even know who Greg Laswell was if a cover of his arrangement hadn't been on Glee.
