Real Peeper ~ Indestructible Will and Habit

Story:
John likes to costume himself to get into roof top of an office building for satisfying his curiousness, watching people from top and drawing pictures of them. This short film tried to illustrate this character by showing that he appearing with different costumes at same location at different time. The last scene and last costume means even he has became a business man after a few years later but he cannot change his strange habit.

Some random thoughts about this film:
As being a human, personally, I believe everyone has kinds of habits/hobby/dream will always reoccur in life. Nobody knows the ultimate purpose of our free will and can give a clear explanation to the reason behind these habits. May be someday when the free will achieve the ultimate goal of a habit, we realize it has meanings to us and it has meanings in our life.

The characteristic of John has the potential to be a real artist. Even though at the end of movie, he has became a businessman, he may have chance to become a real artist in the future, who know? Please remember that everyone has the potential to grow up to be what we want.

At my first thought, I did not purposely want to put a kind of "psycho" sense into this film. During making this short film, our mind want to explain the "sneaky" and "strange" behavior of John. If we are standing at the position which is similar to other audiences, all of us want to explain his strange behavior. If we cannot find a reasonable/logical purpose behind it, we would just attribute that "he is crazy". Therefore, we use the "psycho" music to suggest the one of the genre of this film.

I really like the last shot of John. The dry plants beside him shows his nerves and "craziness".

The conversation between John and office lady reveals the background/free will of John. This is a very significant part of the story. Audiences may not be able to pick it up in the first watch.

The office's freshman is the bit can add more dramatic elements. In the final product of the film, the time of the scene was set in the afternoon and after lunch. The story tells us that he read newspaper after lunch time so he can be fired if boss know this. I'm just joking here.
