In the Dark Crusade Imperial Guard stronghold assault, during the cutscene that plays when you attack the stronghold.

That first 20 seconds is epic and this music sounds cool in the assault video when the commisiar shoots the guardsmen ( poor guy ) lol

You know what I really like about the IG Stronghold theme? All the other stronghold themes sound kind of sad and/or angry (for lack of better words), as if the owners know they're going to lose.

The IG theme makes it sound like they've won already- and hell, just the fact that a bunch of unaugmented humans and unsophisticated war machines have caused you this much trouble probably means they have.

Mrfictioneer got it right. When I listen to this song I think of shittons of men along battle lines with entire divisions of artillery behind them raining hell on their enemy.

@rocketzombie237 That's the thing. Lasguns are cheaper to produce en masse and it is more economical to arm soldier who is more likely to die with a weapon that is easier and less expensive to make. Bolters are High Technology, each military grade Bolter is made with special care on a Forge World or an Astartes Chapter Articifer. The standard issue .998 Godwyn Pattern Bolter is only able to be used by an Astartes because of the size and recoil. Only IG officers get Human sized Bolt Pistols.

@kurlobe Yeah I know that lol. Just making fun of just how patheticly underequiped and trained the bulk of the Imperial Guard is. The Cadia and the other elite regiments are no joke to be sure.

Give a man a lasgun, Put him in some flak armor and a pair of boots. He isnt a guardsmen. You send that man into the bowels of HELL ITS SELF and DEMAND he walk back alive! And when he does... you have seen a real guardsmen.
