I remember my mom listening to this song when I was in elementary school and my mom was going through her divorce...the song is meant to sound semi depressing. Celine does an amazing job at it, as she does everything:) Perfection.

I agree with the poster who said that she showed restraint with this song. The original is subdued and it would it have been easy for her to wail out, but she kept it true to Janis Ian's version. I am not a huge fan of Celine's but I really do like this version.
